Every piece of this beautiful wood has a story. Not only is it 100+yrs old before it was either cut down or fell down but it's spent at least another 100 years submerged in water. The water causes the tree to shrink and the rings become tighter or closer together. The trees are harvested either from the river or lake bottom or floating atop the water. The colors found in these logs can be bright yellows to golden browns, reddish orange to deep purples, dark browns to blueish grays. You may even find bright green or blue if you are lucky
